Cyclo-cross World Championships 2011
Unlucky Francis Mourey went close to a podium last weekend at St Wendel (Germany) where the Cyclo-cross World Championships took place.
Due to a bump with another rider in the first lap, Francis broke his shoe and went down to the 25th position of the race. He then made a remarkable comeback to get back to the chasers and initiated a final sprint, which led him to the 4th place, only 1 second behind.
Kevin Pauwel who finished 3rd.
Czech rider Znedek Stybar won the race.
In the female category, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, only 18, finished 8th.
